HOUSTON \u2013 Love is apparently bigger and textier in Texas.<\/p>\n
If your phone is already buzzing with heart emojis and dinner plans, you\u2019re not alone and if you\u2019re in Houston, you\u2019re leading the nation.<\/p>\n
According to new Valentine\u2019s Day texting data released by AT&T, based on activity across its network, Houston ranked number 1 in the country for Valentine\u2019s Day texts and back-to-back in 2024 and 2025.<\/p>\n
And it wasn\u2019t even close.<\/p>\n
AT&T says Houston sent 1.5 million more texts on Valentine\u2019s Day than any other U.S. city.<\/p>\n

In its Valentine\u2019s Day analysis, AT&T looked at texting data across its network to determine the top 10 \u201ctextiest\u201d cities in the U.S.<\/p>\n
Here\u2019s what the company found:<\/p>\n
Houston ranked No. 1 for Valentine\u2019s Day texting in both 2024 and 2025.<\/p>\n
Houston sent 1.5+ million more texts than any other city on the holiday.<\/p>\n
Four of the top 10 cities were in Texas in 2025.<\/p>\n
Six out of 10 cities on the list are in the South.<\/p>\n
AT&T summed it up this way: \u201cLove is heating up deep in the heart of Texas.\u201d<\/p>\n

According to AT&T, four Texas cities landed in the top 10 in 2025, reinforcing the idea that everything really is bigger in Texas \u2014 including love notes sent by text.<\/p>\n
The majority of cities making the list were in warmer, southern climates, with six out of 10 located in the South.<\/p>\n
