CCFD responded to a fire on Thursday night that left one firefighter and one civilian injured. The firefighter has been released.<\/p>\n
CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas \u2014 One person was rescued from a house fire Thursday night on the city\u2019s north side that also left a firefighter injured, according to the Corpus Christi Fire Department.<\/p>\n
Fire crews responded to the 5100 block of Margaret Avenue and arrived to find a single-story home with heavy fire involvement at the rear of the structure.<\/p>\n
Corpus Christi Fire Department Assistant Chief Tony Perez told 3NEWS that crews used an offensive strategy to attack the flames.<\/p>\n
One victim was rescued from the home and transported to CHRISTUS Spohn Hospital\u2013Shoreline for treatment.<\/p>\n
A firefighter was also injured while battling the blaze and was taken to a local medical facility. Perez said the firefighter has since been released as of Friday morning.<\/p>\n
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.<\/p>\n
There are no updates on the condition of the victim at this time.<\/p>\n
