The Montgomery County Sheriff\u2019s Office has arrested a man accused of sexually abusing two 10-year-old children following an investigation that began earlier this week in Porter.<\/p>\n
On Feb. 11, Montgomery County deputies responded to a reported sexual assault at a residence in Porter, a community northeast of Houston. <\/p>\n
Upon arrival, authorities learned that the two children had disclosed alleged sexual abuse by a relative\u2019s romantic partner. <\/p>\n
The suspect was identified as Joseph Compagnari.<\/p>\n
On Feb. 12, the children were interviewed at Children\u2019s Safe Harbor, where officials said they disclosed multiple incidents of sexual assault involving the suspect. <\/p>\n
Authorities also conducted forensic interviews and sexual assault examinations as part of the investigation.<\/p>\n
Detectives obtained and executed residential search and arrest warrants later that evening of Feb. 12, and investigators located and arrested Compagnari at a residence in Mont Belvieu.<\/p>\n
Compagnari has been charged with Continuous Sexual Abuse of a Child. He is currently being held without bond at the Chambers County Jail.<\/p>\n
The investigation remains ongoing. Authorities said no additional details will be released at this time in order to protect the integrity of the case and safeguard the victims.<\/p>\n
