EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14\/CBS4) \u2014 The El Paso County Elections Department is reminding voters that early voting for the March 2026 primary election starts next Tuesday and continues through Friday, Feb. 27. <\/p>\n
Voters have 11 days, including Saturday and Sunday, to cast their ballots at a convenient time. <\/p>\n
In Texas, voters in a primary election choose either a Democratic or Republican ballot. <\/p>\n
Each party’s primary allows voters to select candidates for the November 2026 general election. <\/p>\n
Ballots include candidates for state and local offices, as well as propositions. If no candidate receives more than 50% of the votes in races with three or more candidates, a runoff election will be held on May 26, 2026. <\/p>\n
Voters are encouraged to visit www.epcountyvotes.com for tools and information, including checking voter registration status, viewing voting history, and accessing a personalized sample ballot. <\/p>\n
There are 39 early voting locations throughout El Paso County, and voters can view a list of sites, hours, and real-time wait times. <\/p>\n
Voters must present one of seven acceptable forms of photo identification to cast a regular ballot. <\/p>\n
Those without acceptable ID can complete a Reasonable Impediment Declaration at the voting site. <\/p>\n
