These events were designed to inform attendees on how to protect your gardens and lawns from this upcoming Texas summer heat. Even if you\u2019re a seasoned gardener or a complete beginner, these events will help you make the most out of your landscape.<\/p>\n<p>Spring in the Garden<\/p>\n<p>11 a.m. \u2013 1 p.m., Saturday, March 21, at the Lake Arlington Native Plant and Pollinator Garden, 5500 Lake Arlington Dr.<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\nLooking for a fun free activity to celebrate the start of spring? Consider our Spring in the Garden event where we\u2019ll be teaching you all about drought-tolerant Texas native plants and pollinators.<\/p>\n<p>Activities will include:<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\nTours of the Lake Arlington Native Plant and Pollinator Garden site, which feature five large demonstration garden beds with native plants as well as a gathering area for gardening classes, field trips, and other community events.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\nA \u201cpick it and pot it\u201d table with two free native Texas landscaping plants for each event attendee, while supplies last.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\nAn \u201cAsk the Master Gardener\u201d table where members of the Tarrant County Master Gardeners Association will provide planting tips for spring\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\nA\u00a0table where Arlington Bee City USA committee members will be giving advice about supporting the pollinator population.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\nNature-based educational activities for kids.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\nA visit from the Arlington Water Utilities\u00a0leak\u00a0detection K-9 \u2013 Splash!\u00a0&#13;<\/p>\n<p>Register soon, the first 100 people who do will receive a free boxed lunch for the event!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.eventbrite.com\/e\/spring-in-the-garden-registration-1981875025552?aff=oddtdtcreator\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"Opens in New Window\" class=\"styled-button-calltoaction\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Register for Spring in the Garden<\/a>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>DIY Sprinkler Repair<\/p>\n<p>2-3 p.m., Saturday, March 21,\u00a0at the Arlington Public Library Northeast Branch, 1905 Brown Blvd.<\/p>\n<p>When\u2019s the last time you\u2019ve checked your sprinkler system?
