Who cooks the best chili in town?<\/p>\n

Come to the Pullman Market<\/a> Charity Chili Cook-Off on Feb. 28 and find out.<\/p>\n

The lineup includes chef Ian Lanphear from Michelin star restaurant Isidore<\/a> and James Beard Foundation semifinalists from Best Quality Daughter<\/a>, Two Bros. BBQ Market<\/a> , Freight Fried Chicken <\/a>and Ladino<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Held outside on the Karnes Patio, the cook-off will feature chilli tastings and a competition to support the San Antonio Hospitality Foundation<\/a>, which provides resources for culinary professionals.<\/p>\n

Two Bros. BBQ Market chef and co-owner Jason Dady is eager to fire up the grill.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ll be there with my team,\u201d said Dady, a former James Beard semifinalist for Outstanding Restaurateur. \u201cWe are excited. It\u2019s always great to get out and have fun with other chefs. And nothing is more Texas than a chili cookoff.\u201d<\/p>\n

The cook-off begins at 11 a.m. and ends at 3 p.m.<\/p>\n

The field also includes chefs from Boiler House, Casanova Barbecue, Interstellar BBQ, JD\u2019s Chili Parlor, La Gloria Pearl, Pullman Market, Slab Side BBQ and the Culinary Institute of America.<\/p>\n

Chefs from Michelin star restaurant Mixtli were scheduled to compete but had to withdraw due to a staffing shortage.<\/p>\n

Pullman Market is a 53,000 square-foot sprawl of eateries and restaurants with a specialty grocer, tortilleria and sourdough bakery.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

Originally scheduled for June 7, the inaugural chili cook-off was rescheduled for Feb. 28. The event will feature live music from the Mark Odom Band.\u00a0<\/p>\n

VIP admission is $75, general admission $50, admission for children ages 10-18, $15.<\/p>\n

VIP ticket-holders may enter at 11 a.m. Everyone else will be admitted at noon. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Who cooks the best chili in town?
