Month-over-month and year-over-year sales decreased in all regions, according to a report from the National Association of REALTORS\u00ae. One economist with the association described the decrease as disappointing.<\/p>\n<p>Vika O\u2019Grady, a market research adviser for the Austin Board of Realtors, said some sellers are adjusting prices or making concessions to have their homes sold. It\u2019s a trend that is also being seen in other major cities like Dallas, San Antonio and Houston, where sellers are still holding on to a higher price.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThose sellers who maybe are reaching a little bit higher and anticipating or thinking about what the market might have than it was back in the day, they may be sitting a little bit longer,\u201d said O\u2019Grady.<\/p>\n<p>\u200b\u200bAccording to market research from the Austin Board of Realtors, January 2026 data show pending sales in the Austin market are up 10%. Some experts said that could be a sign things are shifting going into the spring, but it\u2019s too early to tell.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019ve been a little bit below pace. But what we\u2019re seeing&#8230; is increasing shopper traffic and the pending sales numbers really pop.
