The victory was the Cardinals\u2019 fifth straight.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">In his first game since tying a school record with 45 points, Mikel Brown Jr. was once again phenomenal. The freshman point guard scored a game-high 29 points on 8-of-14 shooting from the field, including 4-of-5 from beyond the arc. He added six assists and five steals for good measure.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">J\u2019Vonne Hadley tossed in a season-high 20 points, while Ryan Conwell added 14.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">Despite being limited to 2-of-22 shooting from three, Baylor stayed in the game at the free-throw line. Louisville was whistled for 20 fouls, resulting in the Bears shooting 25-of-30 from the charity stripe.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">That was about the only thing that went significantly wrong for Louisville, which assisted on 18 of its 28 made field goals and outscored Baylor by 11 points in the second half.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">Who knows where it leads, but this team certainly seems to be starting to play its best basketball of the season at the perfect time.
