Today, the Houston Dash have announced that former USWNT interim head coach, Twila Kilgore has been hired as the club\u2019s technical director. She becomes only the second ever to fill that role.<\/p>\n
The new technical director returns to the team after serving as assistant coach from 2019-2021.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe technical director role is central to how we want to build and sustain success in Houston. Twila is uniquely qualified to help shape and execute our shared vision for the club,\u201d President of Soccer, Angela Hucles Mangano. \u201cTwila brings a rare combination of national team experience, player development expertise and a deep understanding of the pathways into our league. Just as importantly, she understands Houston and what this club is striving to become. We\u2019re excited to welcome her back in a new role and look forward to what we can build together in the years ahead.\u201d<\/p>\n
Kilgore will work closely with Mangano on player development, talent identification and recruitment, and serve as a strategic partner to the technical staff.<\/p>\n

She has spent over a decade with the USYNT from U-14 to U-23 and had a stint with the USWNT as an assistant prior to the 2023 FIFA Women\u2019s World Cup before taking over interim manager from August 2023 to May 2024.<\/p>\n
Did you know? Kilgore holds the UEFA \u201cA\u201d coaching license.
