Police have arrested a man in connection to the killing of his child\u2019s mother<\/a> in a south Fort Worth apartment, police announced on Friday night.<\/p>\n Elijah Jordan Jacobo, 27, was arrested in El Paso<\/a>, officials said.<\/p>\n Fort Worth police officers responded to the victim\u2019s apartment in the 7300 block of Harris Parkway shortly before noon on Wednesday to perform a welfare check, but initially couldn\u2019t get inside to find the woman they\u2019d been called to check on, police said. Later that day, detectives with the Missing Persons Unit secured a search warrant to enter the apartment.<\/p>\n When the officers entered, they found the woman dead and evidence of a crime. Homicide detectives were called to take over the investigation, which they called \u201cdomestic-related.\u201d<\/p>\n The Tarrant County Medical Examiner\u2019s Office identified the woman as 26-year-old Talia Alicia Nadine Sanchez, according to online records. Results of an autopsy are pending to determine her cause of death.<\/p>\n Sanchez was the mother of a 7-month-old baby boy, Levi, and the suspect is the child\u2019s father, according to a GoFundMe for her family.<\/a><\/p>\n \u201cTalia was taken from us in a senseless act of violence leaving behind her precious son and a community that cherished her deeply,\u201d her family wrote. \u201cTalia\u2019s love for Levi was undeniable \u2014 she poured into her son the same unconditional love we all experienced from her. Her warm love and joy seemed to just radiate off her; it was impossible for anyone not to feel it.\u201d<\/p>\n Further details on Jacobo\u2019s arrest were not immediately available Friday night.
