<\/p>\n CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas (February 14, 2026) \u2013 The Stonehill College baseball team fell 12-5 in game two of its four-game series at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on Saturday. With the result, the Skyhawks dropped to 0-2 on the season, while the Islanders improved to 2-0 to start their campaign. \tGraduate student Sam Parks<\/a> went 2-for-4 with two runs scored, three RBIs, a walk, and a home run. \u00a0 The Skyhawks grabbed their first lead of the weekend in the top of the third when Bureau singled to left field, scoring Parks, who had reached on a single two batters earlier. The lead was short-lived, however, as the Islanders plated four runs in the bottom of the inning to take a 5-2 advantage.<\/p>\n TAMUCC extended its lead with two more runs in the fifth and a three-run blast by Max Towchik in the sixth, opening an 11-2 margin heading into the seventh. Stonehill answered with a big swing off the bat from Parks, who hit a three-run home run to deep right field after junior Will Christopher<\/a> walked and junior Ryan LeClair<\/a> was hit by a pitch, cutting the gap to 11-5.<\/p>\n The Islanders capped the scoring in the bottom of the seventh as Cade Sanchez delivered a two-out RBI single to Sean McGee<\/a> at short, making it 12-5 and putting the game out of reach for the Skyhawks, who were unable to mount a comeback over the final two innings. \n\tJunior Eisig Chin<\/a> swiped Stonehill’s first stolen base of the season and went 1-for-3 with an RBI.
\n\tJunior John Bureau<\/a> recorded his first career hit and RBI as a Skyhawk, finishing 1-for-3 at the plate.
\n\tFreshman Kacin Robinson<\/a> made his collegiate debut and notched his first career hit in a pinch-hit appearance.
\n\tJunior Dylan McCarthy<\/a> made his Skyhawks pitching debut, striking out four batters over 2.1 innings.
\n\tStonehill’s bullpen\u2014sophomores Josh Florence<\/a>, Hunter Bell<\/a>, and Luke Dellentash<\/a>\u2014held the Islanders to two earned runs over 5.2 innings of relief.<\/p>\n

\nTexas A&M-Corpus Christi struck first in the bottom of the first when a dropped third strike allowed Christian Smith-Johnson to score from third after reaching base earlier via a walk. Stonehill quickly responded in the top of the second as Chin drove home junior Jamison Howland<\/a> with an RBI single into shallow right field.<\/p>\n
