<\/p>\n GAME 2 | UT Arlington 2, Tulsa 1<\/p>\n ARLINGTON, Texas — The UT Arlington softball team secured a 2-1 victory over Tulsa on Friday night at Allan Saxe Field, using timely hitting and a strong performance in the circle to open the matchup.<\/p>\n UT Arlington plated both of its runs in the fourth inning to take control of the game. Dee McClarity<\/a> led the charge with an RBI double, while Peyton Holland<\/a> added an RBI to give the Mavericks the lead.<\/p>\n Holand finished 0-for-3 with an RBI, while McClarity went 1-for-3 with a double and an RBI. Mia McNulty<\/a>, Kailee Bautista<\/a> Kaitlyn Sailor<\/a> and Kelsey Creech<\/a> recorded hits for the Mavericks.<\/p>\n In the circle, Kynlee Bowlin<\/a> earned the win after throwing a complete game. Bowlin allowed one run on three hits, striking out eight and working through multiple scoreless frames to preserve the lead.\u00a0<\/p>\n Tulsa scored its lone run in the second inning but was held in check the rest of the way, as UTA’s defense limited the Golden Hurricanes to just three hits.<\/p>\n HOW IT HAPPENED Bowlin settled in after the early run, retiring Tulsa hitters efficiently and standing runners when needed to close out the victory.<\/p>\n GAME NOTES

\nTulsa struck first with a run in the top of the second inning, but UTA responded in the bottom of the fourth. McClarity doubled to drive in the tying run before Holland followed with a sacrifice fly to put the Mavericks ahead for good.\u00a0<\/p>\n
