<\/p>\n NATCHITOCHES, La.\u00a0\u2013 UT Arlington Mavericks\u00a0closed opening weekend Sunday with a loss at Brown-Stroud Field\u00a0as the Demons completed the three-game sweep.<\/p>\n The Mavericks totaled eight hits on the day, with Caylon Dygert<\/a> going 2-for-4 with a double\u00a0and Preston Knott<\/a> driving in a run on two hits. Zach Mazoch<\/a> supplied the biggest swing with a solo home run, while Jackson Hill<\/a> added an RBI single\u00a0as UTA pushed across three runs and put multiple runners on base throughout the afternoon.<\/p>\n Northwestern State used a multi-run second and third inning to take control early before adding insurance late.
