Plano\u2019s culinary scene and philanthropic spirit come together on March 5, as Taste 2026 returns for an evening of food, community and impact.<\/p>\n
Hosted at Mercedes-Benz of Plano, the annual gala benefits the Hendrick Scholarship Foundation, which has supported Plano ISD graduates overcoming significant adversity since 1991.<\/p>\n
Named in honor of former Plano ISD Superintendent Dr. Wayne Hendrick, the foundation provides scholarships, mentorship and ongoing support services that help students succeed through higher education. Each year, Taste serves as its signature fundraiser, helping fund opportunities for dozens of local scholars.<\/p>\n
This year\u2019s theme, Celebrate: Decades of Dedication, highlights the foundation\u2019s longstanding commitment to Plano students. Honorary Chair Rutledge Haggard will welcome guests during the VIP reception and take the stage for an interview with event emcee Rikki Ragland. Throughout the evening, Hendrick Scholarship recipients will share their stories and connect with attendees, offering a firsthand look at the event\u2019s impact.<\/p>\n

More than a dozen well-known restaurants will showcase signature dishes, including Anaya\u2019s Seafood, Central Market, CraftWay Kitchen, Eddie V\u2019s, Freebird\u2019s Wood Fired Grill, Fogo de Chao, Gleneagles Country Club, Knife by John Tesar, Lockhart, Mexican Bar Co., Plano East Senior High Bistro, Rise Souffle, Shogun, Truluck\u2019s and Uchiko.<\/p>\n
Auctions And Giving Opportunities<\/p>\n
Along with chef tastings and cocktails, guests can participate in live and silent auctions featuring a range of offerings.
