LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – The Junior League of Lubbock opened applications Feb. 2 for its Spring 2026 Community Assistance Grants, offering up to $12,500 in funding to help local nonprofits manage unplanned expenses.<\/p>\n
The application period runs through March 6. The program provides financial support when unexpected costs threaten nonprofit operating budgets or divert resources from mission-driven work.<\/p>\n
Registered nonprofit organizations in Crosby, Floyd, Garza, Hale, Hockley, Lamb, Lubbock, Lynn and Terry counties can apply for grants up to $5,000. Funds may reimburse previously incurred, unplanned expenses that directly support an organization\u2019s ability to continue delivering services.<\/p>\n
\u201cNonprofits often operate with limited margins, and unexpected expenses can quickly impact their ability to serve,\u201d Kathy Wells, Community Impact Vice President for the Junior League of Lubbock, said in a release. \u201cOur Community Assistance Grants help ensure organizations can keep running strong while staying focused on the people and communities they support.\u201d<\/p>\n
The Junior League of Lubbock\u2019s Community Impact Council will review applications. The volunteer-led committee evaluates requests based on established criteria and overall community impact.<\/p>\n
Organizations that received Community Assistance Grant funding during the Fall 2025 cycle are not eligible to apply during this round.<\/p>\n
