CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas \u2014 A man has died following a shooting on Secretariat Drive, according to the Corpus Christi Police Department.<\/p>\n
Officers were dispatched to the 1900 block of Secretariat Drive at 3:00 p.m. on February 16, 2026, in response to a shooting incident. Upon arrival, they found a male victim with multiple gunshot wounds and administered first aid until medics arrived, stated the department.<\/p>\n
Detectives from the Criminal Investigations Division were called to the scene due to the nature of the incident. It was determined that a disturbance over services rendered led to the production of a weapon. The victim was transported to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.<\/p>\n
Several individuals were detained at the scene and will be taken to the Main Station for formal interviews with detectives, according to the press release.<\/p>\n
