Shawn Torres, known at Church of the Incarnation as Pastor T, will be keynote speaker at the LH YMCA Prayer Breakfast.<\/p>\n

\u201cService to Others\u201d is the theme of this year\u2019s Prayer Breakfast hosted annually by the Lake Highlands Family YMCA. Shawn Torres<\/a>, who serves as Church of the Incarnations<\/a>\u2019 Assistant for Adult Discipleship and is known affectionately as Pastor T, will share the keynote address.<\/p>\n

\u201cWith over two decades of ministry experience, Shawn brings a deep passion for holistic discipleship, reconciliation and community transformation,\u201d according to the church\u2019s website<\/a>. \u201cWhether preaching, teaching or walking alongside others in their faith journey, his heart is rooted in the apostolic message: Be reconciled to God (2 Corinthians 5:20).\u201d<\/p>\n

Shawn holds a Master of Theology in Bible Exposition and Servant Leadership from Dallas Theological Seminary. He has studied biblical history in Israel.<\/p>\n

The Prayer Breakfast will be held Tuesday, February 24 at 7 a.m., and the breakfast line opens at 6:45. The event is free, but attendees are asked to RSVP to Lynzee Tavizon at LTavizon@ymcadallas.org<\/a> or 214-221-9622.<\/p>\n

She has moderated candidate debates for Dallas Mayor, Dallas City Council and RISD Trustee races and taught seminars on garnering publicity for nonprofits. She completed training with Dallas Truth, Racial Healing and Transformation and Inside RISD, and she’s a sustaining member of LH Women’s League. She has served on the boards of After8 to Educate, Dallas Free Press, Healing Hands Ministries and Camp Sweeney and chaired fundraisers for multiple Dallas nonprofits.
