LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – On Tuesday, The Hub City BBQ Facebook page posted an announcement that this year\u2019s BBQ Cookoff will have a different look.<\/p>\n
The biggest difference this year is that the event will be for Chamber members, and not open to the general public. <\/p>\n
This years event will be Tuesday, Sept. 22 and Wednesday, Sept. 23 at Cooks Garage.<\/p>\n
According to the Facebook post, the Chamber will kick things off with a \u201cRibs & Raiders Dinner.\u201d<\/p>\n
This will be a Tuesday night event, that will be a member-focused experience designed for meaningful business connections.<\/p>\n
The dinner event will be from 6pm- 10pm. There will be live music, a raffle, a silent and live auction and much more. <\/p>\n
According to the Facebook post, 11 Pitmaster Chef teams will prepare and cook the meat for all attendees. <\/p>\n
All proceeds from the auction will support High Point Village. <\/p>\n
**Tables and sponsorships are availablew for Chamber members only.**<\/p>\n
The next day (Wednesday, Sept. 23) will be \u201cThe Classic Cook Off,\u201d where teams compete in 5 categories.<\/p>\n
The event will conclude immediately after the awards and teams will load up and depart Cooks Garage after the awards ceremony.<\/p>\n
Again, the Hub City BBQ wants to the remind the public that no public tickets will be sold this year.<\/p>\n
Hub City BBQ says they know this year will look a little different, and with the changes comes a new sponsorship layout and a different check in process.<\/p>\n
Officials say they will be in touch closer to the event with additional details.<\/p>\n
