{"id":168752,"date":"2026-02-17T22:49:12","date_gmt":"2026-02-17T22:49:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/168752\/"},"modified":"2026-02-17T22:49:12","modified_gmt":"2026-02-17T22:49:12","slug":"hpd-releases-photo-of-person-of-interest-in-shooting-that-killed-security-guard-in-sw-houston","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/168752\/","title":{"rendered":"HPD releases photo of person of interest in shooting that killed security guard in SW Houston"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The Houston Police Department has released the photo of a person of interest in the shooting that killed a security guard during a robbery at an illegal game room in southwest Houston.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The video above is from a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.yahoo.com\/news\/articles\/security-guard-shot-killed-during-125548319.html\" data-ylk=\"slk:previous report;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas;outcm:mb_qualified_link;_E:mb_qualified_link;ct:story;\" class=\"link  yahoo-link\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">previous report<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">On Tuesday, HPD released an image and shared a photo of the man they said they would like to speak with in relation to the case.<\/p>\n<p><img alt=\"\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"960\" height=\"540\" decoding=\"async\" data-nimg=\"1\" class=\"rounded-lg\" style=\"color:transparent\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/23a72cb9f33c640d9f2d69acfb1cdd3b.jpeg\"\/><\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The shooting happened at about 9:30 p.m. Feb. 9 in the 7000 block of Bissonnet Street, according to a release from HPD. Officers said they were responding to reports of a shooting when a woman flagged them down. The woman told police she was at a nearby location when a man who was seen fleeing said there had been a shooting at a game room and that she should call police.<\/p>\n<p>Advertisement<\/p>\n<p>Advertisement<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">When HPD and the Houston Fire Department arrived, they found the victim with a gunshot wound.
