CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas \u2014 A woman accused of fatally shooting a 42-year-old man in Corpus Christi appeared in court today for a status hearing.<\/p>\n

Mercedee Nicole Molina is charged in connection with the death of John David Dominguez.<\/p>\n

During today\u2019s hearing, Molina\u2019s attorney requested that the trial docket date be reset due to scheduling conflicts.<\/p>\n

\u00a0The court acknowledged the request as proceedings continue in the case.<\/p>\n

The charge stems from an incident on August 25, 2023, when Corpus Christi police responded to a reported shooting at a home on 17th Street.\u00a0<\/p>\n

When officers arrived, they found Dominguez suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported to a local hospital, where he later died.<\/p>\n

An expected trial date has been set for June 15, though any changes to the docket are pending court approval.<\/p>\n
