The most unusual feature of this latest mansion sale isn\u2019t the chandeliers and disco balls motif. It\u2019s the $7.5 million price tag in Plano<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The six-bedroom, nine-bathroom home at 6509 Sudbury Road in Plano sold at the end of January, according to public records. With a listing price of $7.5 million, it was one of the most expensive December listings<\/a> in the state, according to the Houston Association of Realtors, which tracks residential listings in the major metro areas of Texas.\u00a0<\/p>\n

It\u2019s also near the top of Plano\u2019s luxury market. At present, just one home in Plano is currently listed at a higher price: a $12.8 million, 14,100-square-foot mansion at 6413 Old Gate Road.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The asking price of the home on Sudbury amounts to about $580 per square foot. The final sale price was not disclosed.<\/p>\n

The sellers are Rahim and Salima Dhanani, and the buyer is the Andrew J. McFaul Trust, public records show. Compass agent Jackie Dorbritz represented the sellers, but the buyer was unrepresented, according to Redfin.<\/p>\n

The home spans about 13,000 square feet on a lot of 0.86 acres. Designed by Simmie Cooper<\/a> \u2014 better known for work in Dallas\u2019 luxury enclaves, the Park Citie \u2014, the home melds elements of traditional European villas with contemporary glitz. Fluted columns frame the front entrance and line the halls, and a Swarovski chandelier hangs in the primary suite. Additionally, the house has a dance room with an illuminated dance floor and a disco ball.<\/p>\n

The sellers had some difficulty selling the home. They listed the property for brief periods between 2020 and 2024, pricing it between $7.2 million and $6.9 million. It last hit the market in December, outranking three of the top 10 most expensive residential listings in Texas for that month.<\/p>\n

The top sales in the state have historically clustered in the Park Cities in Dallas. However, last year a new Collin County residential price record was set when BuzzBalls founder Merrilee Kick bought the 6.75-acre estate at 5805 Red Wolf Lane for $15.9 million<\/a>. It was the only Plano home to rank in the top 10 luxury sales in the Metroplex in 2025.<\/p>\n
