EL PASO, TEXAS (KFOX14\/CBS4) \u2014 As hundreds of thousands of visitors poured into Levi Stadium for Super Bowl LX, an El Paso Police Department officer and his K9 were among those in attendance, providing security at this year’s big game. <\/p>\n
At one of the nation\u2019s biggest sporting events earlier this month at Santa Clara, California, EPPD officer Roberto Looney and K9 Laky represented the borderland when the Transportation Security Administration selected them to assist with K9 screening at Levi\u2019s Stadium. <\/p>\n
Working alongside law enforcement partners from across the country, the pair supported security efforts aimed at ensuring a safe experience for fans and visitors.<\/p>\n
In a social media post on Tuesday, EPPD confirmed Looney and Laky’s participation at this year\u2019s Super Bowl, celebrating their achievements. <\/p>\n
“Please join us in congratulating Officer Looney and K9 Laky for their hard work and outstanding representation of our community,” EPPD said in an Instagram post alongside photos of the pair. <\/p>\n
