We better not hear any complaints about a lack of diversity in SA’s live music offerings. Not after the city plays host this week to emo puppet group, a French DJ playing trip-hop and brass-fueled New Orleans institution providing a reason to get on down.

Fragile Rock

Punk emo puppets? Tell me more. It may be tempting to dismiss the Jim Henson-inspired puppet band Fragile Rock as a gimmick, but these puppets pack a punch and have even made their way into the national consciousness with an NPR “Tiny Desk” concert. The nine-piece collective released its latest, aptly titled album Microfamous, last September. $12.21, 8 p.m., Paper Tiger, 2410 N. St. Mary’s St., papertigersatx.com. — Danny Cervantes

Dale Watson

St. Mary’s St., instagram.com/thelonesomerose. — Stephanie Koithan

Wax Tailor
