The city of Pflugerville was awarded $750,000 in federal Community Project Funding to support construction of new water infrastructure needed to accommodate continued growth along the SH 45 corridor.<\/p>\n

The funding, announced Feb. 6 during a press conference with Mayor Doug Weiss and U.S. Rep. Pete Sessions, will help pay for the design and construction of a 5 million-gallons-per-day pump station and a 1.25 million-gallon ground storage.<\/p>\n

Portion of Gilleland Creek Trail in Pflugerville to close<\/p>\n As the city of Pflugerville continues work on its Downtown East project, a portion of Gilleland Creek Trail will close to allow construction on future connections to the city hub and the Monarch Recreation Center.<\/p>\n Overview<\/p>\n The trail is expected to close Feb. 17 and last for approximately one year. While the trail is closed, the city will install signage for a detour that will add about 1,000 feet, or 0.2 miles, to the route.<\/p>\n Learn more<\/a>.<\/p>\n 3.
