I think it\u2019s because of the warmer weather and late afternoon sunlight slowly creeping in. The seasonal changes are making my post-work runs much more enjoyable.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>If you\u2019re also looking to enjoy this warm weather, head over to Panther Island Pavilion this weekend for the Cowtown Cookoff &amp; Music Festival. The event brings two days of live music, Texas barbecue and family fun. Find out more about the festivities below!\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Also, as spring nears, more and more art exhibitions will begin to sprout across Fort Worth. Be on the lookout over the next month as I start to write about some of these shows. If you see me at these opening receptions, come say hi. I\u2019d love to meet you!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/fortworthreport.org\/event\/cowtown-cookoff-music-festival\/2026-02-20\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Sample some barbecue at Panther Island festival<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Each purchase of a barbecue plate supports the nonprofit C4K, Fort Worth Cops for Kids. There will be performances from several local acts, including Wade Hatton, Brett Watts and Poo Live Crew.<\/p>\n<p>What: Cowtown Cookoff &amp; Music Festival<\/p>\n<p>When: 8 a.m.-10 p.m. Feb. 20-21<\/p>\n<p>Where: Panther Island Pavilion, 395 Purcey St., Fort Worth<\/p>\n<p>Admission: <a href=\"https:\/\/pantherislandpavilion.com\/event\/cowtown-cookoff-music-festival\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Free<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/fortworthreport.org\/event\/david-lozano-puncture\/2026-02-19\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Explore bold, abstract art at two exhibitions in one space <\/a><\/p>\n<p>Mexican-American artists Benito Huerta and David Lozano invite Fort Worth art patrons to take in their works. Huerta\u2019s art focuses on reimagined ordinary items while Lozano draws from papel picado, a traditional Mexican cut paper technique. Khan\u2019s private sketchbook from 1974, the last year of his life. Copies of \u201cLouis I. Khan: The Last Notebook\u201d will be available for purchase. Khan was a renowned American architect known for designing the Kimbell Art Museum\u2019s 1972 building in the Cultural District. <\/p>\n<p>What: Friday Evening Lecture &#8211; \u201cA Conversation about Louis I.
