\nBOULDER \u2013\u00a0The Colorado women’s basketball team\u00a0(18-8, 9-5 Big 12) is back at home this weekend to battle No. 20 Texas Tech (24-4, 11-4 Big 12) at CU Events Center on Feb.\u00a021 at\u00a07 p.m. MT.\u00a0The Buffs will celebrate their seniors, forwards Ana\u00eblle Dutat and Jade Masogayo<\/a>, following the game.

\nThe Black and Gold will match up with the Lady Raiders for the first time since a narrow 83-79 overtime loss at the end of last season (Mar. 1, 2025). CU also faced TTU earlier last season at the CU Events Center and won, 67-51 (Feb. 2, 2025). Colorado meets 20th-ranked Texas Tech for the 26th time in program history, and this is the Buffs’ sixth ranked opponent this season.

\nOn Tuesday, CU outlasted Arizona at McKale Center in Tucson, Ariz., 78-70 (Feb. 17). The Buffaloes played a close first half against the Wildcats, seeing six lead changes in the first 20 minutes. Colorado ended the second quarter ahead by one, but Arizona took the lead in the final seconds of the third. After going down by seven in the fourth, the Buffs came back to win the game. Senior forward Ana\u00eblle Dutat scored a career-high 20 points, her second consecutive game setting a career-high in scoring.

\n\tCU is led by 10th-year head coach JR Payne<\/a>, who has led the Buffs to a 183-124 (.596) record as CU’s eighth head women’s basketball coach. Coach Payne has been extended through the 2028 season and has led the Buffs to three NCAA appearances, two WNIT appearances and one WBIT appearance.
\n\tIn its second year back in the Big 12, Colorado was picked to finish ninth in the Big 12 Preseason Poll. Colorado is 119-154 (.436) overall in Big 12 conference play.
\n\tThe Buffs return four from the 2024-25 roster: Sr. F Jade Masogayo<\/a>, So. G Kennedy Sanders<\/a>, 5th C JoJo Nworie<\/a> and So. F Tabitha Betson<\/a>.
\n\tColorado welcomes 10 newcomers for the 2025-26 season, five transfers and five freshmen. The five transfers include Jr. G Zyanna Walker<\/a> (Kansas State), Jr. G Desiree Wooten<\/a> (North Texas), Jr. G Claire O’Connor<\/a> (Gonzaga), Jr. G Maeve McErlane<\/a> (DePaul) and Sr. F Ana\u00eblle Dutat (Rhode Island). The five freshmen include G Erianna Gooden<\/a> (Fork Smith, Ark.\/Northside H.S.), C Jade Crook<\/a> (Albury, Australia\/Basketball Australia Center of Excellence\/Lake Ginninderra College), G Isa H\u00e4m\u00e4l\u00e4inen (Lorentzweiler, Luxembourg\/European School of Luxembourg 1), F Logyn Greer<\/a> (Lansdowne, Pa.\/Friends’ Central School) and F Sophie Zadel<\/a> (San Antonio, Texas\/Alamo Heights H.S).
\n\tSr. F Ana\u00eblle Dutat leads the Big 12 in offensive rebounds per game (3.8) and total offensive rebounds (102), and she is third in conference for rebounds per game (8.2). She is also tied for eighth for steals per game (1.9). Dutat managed a career-high 20 points versus Arizona, as well as six rebounds, two steals and an assist (Feb. 17). This was her second consecutive game with a career-high in points.
\n\tSr. F Jade Masogayo<\/a> is 24th in the Big 12 for points per game with 12.3 and is 15th for free throw percentage (77.5%). She is also tied for 17th for blocks per game (0.8). Masogayo had eight points, four rebounds, two steals and an assist against the Wildcats (Feb. 17).
\n\tJr. G Desiree Wooten<\/a> is tied for 21st in conference for points per game with 12.5 and tied for 20th for steals per game with 1.6. Wooten had 10 points, two rebounds and three assists against Arizona (Feb. 17).
\n\tJr. G Zyanna Walker<\/a> is tied for third in conference for steals per game (2.3) and tied for 19th for assists per game (2.6). Walker had 13 points, nine rebounds, three assists and two steals versus the Wildcats (Feb. 17).
\n\tSo. F Tabitha Betson<\/a> had a great game against Arizona, finishing with 15 points, five rebounds, and four assists (Feb. 17).
\n\tAs a team, the Buffs are third in the Big 12 for offensive rebounds per game (13.4), third for rebounding margin (7.2), fourth for steals per game (10.22), sixth for scoring defense (60.9), sixth for rebounds per game (38.8), seventh for scoring margin (8.5), seventh for free throw percentage (73.5), and seventh for turnover margin (1.67).

\nBIG 12 POWs: Sr. F Ana\u00eblle Dutat (Cesson, France\/Lycee Victor Hugo) was named to the Big 12 Women’s Basketball Starting Five as a Top Performer this week, the Conference announced Tuesday, Feb. 17. Dutat earns her first conference weekly recognition of her career, and her first in the Big 12, as well as the Buffs’ third in the 2025-26 season. This is the 35th conference player of the week (non-freshman) recognition earned by a WBB Buff, which includes honors earned in the Big Eight, Big 12 and Pac-12. Dutat recorded back-to-back double-doubles in her games last week, including a career-high 19 points coupled with 10 rebounds in the Buffs’ win over BYU (Feb. 14). She also managed three assists and three steals versus the Cougars. Dutat had 12 points, 13 rebounds, three steals, and an assist in their victory at Houston as well (Feb. 11). These double-doubles were her fifth and sixth this season, 11th and 12th of her career. Last week, Dutat averaged 32.3 minutes per game, 55.6% from the field, 11.5 rebounds per game, 15.5 points per game and 3.00 steals per game. This is the first time in program history that the Buffs have been awarded three consecutive conference weekly honors, and it’s the first time doing so with three different athletes. Last week, senior forward Jade Masogayo<\/a> was awarded Big 12 Women’s Basketball Starting Five Top Performer as well for her performances against then-No. 20 West Virginia and then-No. 14 TCU (Feb. 4, Feb. 8). The week prior, junior guard Zyanna Walker<\/a> was awarded Big 12 Women’s Basketball Starting Five Top Performer as well for her performances against her former school, K-State, and Kansas (Jan. 29, Feb. 1).

\nMILESTONE WATCH: So. F Tabitha Betson<\/a> has 174 rebounds, 26 away from 200. Fr. C Jade Crook<\/a> has 91 points, nine away from 100. Jr. G Maeve McErlane<\/a> has 95 rebounds, five away from 100, and she has 191 points, nine away from 200. Jr. G Zyanna Walker<\/a> has 395 rebounds, five away from 400. Jr. G Desiree Wooten<\/a> has 899 points, one away from 900.
