Ms. Cornell told Glasstire she will remain in her position at DAF, managing both roles.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>An Aspen Art Fair press release stated that Ms. Cornell \u201cwill oversee the fair\u2019s curatorial vision, exhibitor relations, and programming with immediate effect.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The Aspen Art Fair, a boutique fair held in the guest rooms of a historic hotel, started in 2024 with 22 participating galleries. The 2025 edition featured an international slate of 45 participating galleries, including Galleri Urbane from Dallas.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/glasstire.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/Kelly-Cornell.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\" noreferrer noopener nofollow\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/Kelly-Cornell-600x400.jpg\" alt=\"A portrait of art fair director Kelly Cornell, smiling in front of a black painting.\" class=\"wp-image-355729\"  \/><\/a>Kelly Cornell<\/p>\n<p>In a press release, Ms. Cornell is described as \u201ca seasoned art fair leader,\u201d who in her new role will \u201ccreat[e] opportunities for new dialogue between collectors, institutions, and artists through salon-style conversations, private collection visits, site-specific activations, and programming in partnership with Aspen\u2019s world-class cultural organizations.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Bob Chase, co-founder of the fair with former director Becca Hoffman, said, \u201cKelly\u2019s experience and leadership at the Dallas Art Fair \u2026 will be vital as we expand the Aspen Art Fair\u2019s global reach, deepen relationships with leading galleries and collectors, and advance its position on the international art and cultural calendar.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Ms. Cornell told Glasstire that she\u2019s \u201creally excited to build on the foundation that\u2019s already been created for the Aspen Art Fair, and work on this further evolution of it.\u201d She said synergy exists between the Texas and Colorado art scenes, \u201cspecifically Dallas and Aspen, and I think both of these fairs are very distinct in their qualities, but they\u2019re committed to their communities. \u2026 They have their own identities that we can keep and preserve, but also work on some efficiencies and make things better. And there can be lots of synergies between the collector base and the gallery base as well. So I think it is a very smart, strategic move for us.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Chase recognized Ms. Cornell for her \u201ccompelling programming\u201d during the Dallas Art Fair, which includes onsite panel discussions and visits to private collections, along with partnerships with other Dallas art institutions. Ms. Cornell said she would like to work on strengthening partnerships and programming in Aspen based on what she\u2019s established in Dallas.<\/p>\n<p>The Dallas Art Fair, which <a href=\"https:\/\/glasstire.com\/2026\/02\/02\/dallas-art-fair-dallas-invitational-announce-2026-exhibitors\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">announced its slate of 85 exhibitors<\/a> earlier this month, will take place Thursday, April 16, through Sunday, April 19, at the Fashion Industry Gallery.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aspenartfair.org\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Aspen Art Fair<\/a> is scheduled for Wednesday, July 29, through Saturday, August 1, in the Hotel Jerome.
