{"id":173252,"date":"2026-02-20T19:12:12","date_gmt":"2026-02-20T19:12:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/173252\/"},"modified":"2026-02-20T19:12:12","modified_gmt":"2026-02-20T19:12:12","slug":"ccpd-seizes-12k-guns-and-drugs-in-swat-assisted-southside-raid","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/173252\/","title":{"rendered":"CCPD seizes $12K, guns and drugs in SWAT-assisted Southside raid"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>SWAT helped raid a Southside home where CCPD says detectives seized THC liquid, psilocybin mushrooms, more than $12K in cash and multiple firearms.<\/p>\n<p>CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas \u2014 <a href=\"https:\/\/ccpdblotter.com\/2026\/02\/20\/early-morning-raid-nets-two-drug-arrests\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Two men were arrested early Thursday<\/a> morning after Corpus Christi police concluded a monthlong narcotics investigation on the city\u2019s Southside, according to Corpus Christi Police Department Public Information Officer Senior Officer Antonio Contreras.<\/p>\n<p>Detectives with CCPD&#8217;s Narcotics and Vice Investigations Division served a search warrant at a residence in the 4800 block of H. Boyd Hall Street, Contreras said.<\/p>\n<p>During the search, investigators seized more than 33 ounces of THC liquid and about seven ounces of psilocybin mushrooms, according to Contreras. He said detectives also recovered more than $12,000 in cash, seven semi-automatic handguns, a 12-gauge magazine-fed shotgun, a 5.56 mm AR-type pistol and a 7.62 mm semi-automatic rifle.<\/p>\n<p>Due to the presence of multiple firearms in the residence, CCPD SWAT officers were called in to enter and secure the home prior to the search, Contreras said.<\/p>\n<p>He said that as a result of the search, detectives arrested Nicolas Medrano and Gabriel Medrano.
