The victim was hospitalized, and the student accused of the stabbing was taken into custody.<\/p>\n<p data-uri=\"www.audacy.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cmh3b5w53001b357tr3cwtkm2@published\" data-editable=\"text\" class=\"paragraph paragraph--station\">Later the same day, a different student was arrested after officials found a firearm in a backpack during an unrelated campus search.<\/p>\n<p data-uri=\"www.audacy.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cmh3b5w6e001c357t1ps0h2ia@published\" data-editable=\"text\" class=\"paragraph paragraph--station\">Police say the gun was confiscated before it was displayed or used, and no additional injuries were reported.<\/p>\n<p data-uri=\"www.audacy.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cmh3b5w9d001d357tvjgg8v7q@published\" data-editable=\"text\" class=\"paragraph paragraph--station\">Richardson ISD confirmed both incidents and said additional security measures are in place while the investigations continue.
