After funding issues led to last year\u2019s cancellation, the Downtown St. Paddy’s Day Festival is set to return March 14, organizer Mike Treiber told 3NEWS.<\/p>\n

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas \u2014 After taking a year off in 2025<\/a>, the Downtown St. Patrick\u2019s Day Festival is set to return March 14 in Downtown Corpus Christi.<\/p>\n

Mike Treiber, owner of Cassidy\u2019s Irish Pub<\/a> and organizer of the festival, confirmed the comeback to 3NEWS on Friday.<\/p>\n

“(It’s a) family friendly free event!,” Treiber said.\u00a0<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s event will feature live performances from several talented local acts. CC Pipes and Drums<\/a>, Gildea School of Dance<\/a>, The Olde Dogs, Splendiferous<\/a>, Raul Ayala Band<\/a>, Tres Matts<\/a>, Jon Mikel Mrez Band<\/a>, Kat & The Nat 20s<\/a>, The Chainlinks<\/a>, Navarro & The Creatures<\/a>, 18 Hours<\/a>, Left Right Left<\/a> and Underground Frequency<\/a> are all slated to play at the festival.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Organizers say the event will also include local artists and food trucks, including award-winning local favorite Full Send BBQ.<\/a> \u00a0<\/p>\n

Owner Desirae Hill told 3NEWS she is excited for the return of the event and the sense of unity it brings.<\/p>\n

“The festival brings Corpus (Christi) together while supporting local businesses who love the community,” she said. “It’s love all the way around.”<\/p>\n

The festival took a hiatus last year after organizers cited funding challenges tied to the event\u2019s production. In its absence, several downtown businesses organized smaller celebrations to mark the holiday.<\/p>\n
