A major hotel fronting Interstate 37 is for sale on the north side of Corpus Christi<\/a>, and its asking price has recently been reduced.<\/p>\n

The Holiday Inn Express & Suites Corpus Christi North, located at 929\u00a0N. Navigation Blvd., is looking for a new owner, according to a new report by Hotel News Resource<\/a>, an online trade publication that tracks the hotel and hospitality industry. According to the outlet, the hotel\u2019s owners have recently reduced their asking price to $6.9 million.<\/p>\n

The hotel, which offers 64 \u201ckeys,\u201d or rooms and suites, is located near several of Corpus Christi\u2019s most popular tourist draws<\/a>, including the\u00a0Selena Museum, which is about a mile away, and the Texas State Aquarium, which is about four miles away, just across the Corpus Christi Ship Channel. It\u2019s also close to the Corpus Christi International Airport.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe 64-key hotel is strategically located near the Port of Corpus Christi<\/a>, a vital hub for the U.S. oil and gas sectors,\u201d Hotel News Resource reports.<\/p>\n

Originally opened in June 2011, the hotel underwent \u201csignificant renovations\u201d to bring its design notes in line with Holiday Inn\u2019s more modern schematics, which the company calls \u201cFormula Blue 2.0.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe call our design style Purposeful Contemporary because it cleverly combines the practicalities our Smart Traveler requires with the fresh, thoughtful qualities they desire,\u201d Holiday Inn wrote of the design style<\/a>, which is highlighted by illuminated\u00a0signage, iconic blue lighting, and a signature covered entrance. The design upgrades have helped the\u00a0northside hotel remain strongly competitive with other nearby hotels, boasting an average annual revenue of nearly $1.9 million, according to Hotel News Resource.<\/p>\n

Currently, the hotel is owned by a\u00a0Rockport-based limited partnership called Express Navigation, according to Nueces County property tax records.
