Mishak scored 31 points, including seven 3-pointers, and collected eight rebounds. <a href=\"https:\/\/gobuffsgo.com\/sports\/mens-basketball\/roster\/fontaine-williams\/14260\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"14260\" target=\"_blank\">Fontaine Williams<\/a> added 17 points while recording eight assists. <a href=\"https:\/\/gobuffsgo.com\/sports\/mens-basketball\/roster\/zach-brown\/14253\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"14253\" target=\"_blank\">Zach Brown<\/a> tallied 15 points with five 3-pointers and grabbed five rebounds.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nSCOUTING THE DUSTDEVILS<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\nTexas A&amp;M International enters the weekend with an overall record of 8-17 including a 5-12 mark in Lone Star Conference action as they look to snap a two-game losing streak. The Dustdevils are 4-8 so far this season in Laredo as they have registered home wins over UT Tyler, Southwestern Adventist, CSU Pueblo and Texas A&amp;M-Kingsville.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nThe Dustdevils fell to the Eastern New Mexico Greyhounds, 85-71 on Thursday night at the KCB. ENMU outscored TAMIU 44-34 in the second half as the Hounds forced 18 Dustdevil turnovers. Caylen Goff Brown led the way for International, going 5-of-10 from the floor including 3-of-7 from behind the arc and 10-of-11 from the free throw line for 23 points to go along with two assists.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nGoff Brown has been the go-to scoring option for the Dustdevils this season as the senior guard from Tulsa, Oklahoma has gone 117-of-291 (40.2%) from the field including 62-of-175 (35.4%) from deep and 80-of-93 (86%) from the free throw line to average 15.0 points per game along with 42 boards, 34 assists, 15 steals and a block.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nTAMIU HEAD COACH MAC McCONNELL<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\nRodney &#8220;Mac&#8221; McConnell is in his sixth season as the head coach of the Texas A&amp;M International men&#8217;s basketball program, holding an overall record of 71-86 during his time in Laredo. McConnell was named the seventh head coach in program history in March of 2020.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nMcConnell came to TAMIU after three seasons as the associate head coach at Tarleton State. While with the Texans, he helped guide the team to three straight appearances in the LSC Tournament. The Hattiesburg, Mississippi native played his collegiate career at Tarleton State and he has head coaching stops at Ranger College and East Central University.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nTHE SERIES<br \/>\nSaturday afternoon marks just the seventh all-time meeting on the hardwood between the Buffaloes and Dustdevils as WT holds a 5-1 advantage in the series that dates back to 2011. The Buffs are 3-0 all-time in Laredo with their last trip coming in December of 2024.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nThe last meeting saw the Buffs shoot 40.4% (23-of-57) from the floor including 73.9% (17-of-23) from the free throw line in a 66-65 overtime victory in Laredo. Noah Pagotta went just 2-of-9 from the floor but converted 10-of-14 attempts at the charity stripe for a team-best 14 points to go along with nine rebounds and a block.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nWT HEAD COACH TOM BROWN<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/gobuffsgo.com\/sports\/mens-basketball\/roster\/coaches\/tom-brown\/2546\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"2546\" target=\"_blank\">Tom Brown<\/a>, now in his 12th season at the helm of the West Texas A&amp;M men&#8217;s basketball program, has built the Buffs into one of the elite NCAA Division II programs in the nation.\u00a0\u00a0He has guided WT to nine consecutive NCAA Tournaments including the Buffs first-ever NCAA Division II National Championship game in 2021. Brown reached the 300-win plateau with an 87-68 victory at Cameron on February 5, 2026.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nBrown was hired as the 17th head coach in program history on April 16, 2014. In the past 10 seasons, Coach Brown and his staff are 283-71 (.799) and an average of 27 wins a season with appearances in the Sweet 16, Elite Eight, Final Four (2) and National Title game. During his time in Canyon, Brown is 303-84 (.783) overall and 164-50 (.766) in league action.\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nLSC PRESEASON POLL<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\nDefending Regional Champion Dallas Baptist claimed 42 of the possible 51 first place votes for a total of 850 points to sit atop of the poll followed by St. Mary&#8217;s (two first place, 724), Lubbock Christian (four first place, 720), St. Edward&#8217;s (669) and West Texas A&amp;M (two first place, 654) to round out the top five.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\nAngelo State and Eastern New Mexico tied for sixth with 592 points followed by Midwestern State (558), UT Permian Basin (468), Texas A&amp;M International (one first place, 350), Texas A&amp;M-Kingsville (330), Cameron (301), Oklahoma Christian (266), UT Tyler (260), Western New Mexico (193), UT Dallas (188) and Sul Ross State (88).<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nLIVE COVERAGE\u00a0<br \/>\nThe LSC and FloSports reached a historic agreement in August of 2024 for the largest streaming rights deal in NCAA Division II history. ENMU has won a league-best nine in a row, while DBU has prevailed in five straight games.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\nNo. 11 Lubbock Christian is in third place (22-4, 13-3 LSC), followed by No. 15 St. Edward&#8217;s (23-4 overall) and Western New Mexico (19-5 overall) at 12-4. SEU has won seven games in a row. SEU&#8217;s Blake Nielson is close behind at 18.4 points per game.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nLCU&#8217;s Antonio Pusateri is in the only player in the league averaging double digit rebounds per game (10.7). UT Dallas&#8217; Peyton Dulin has the assists lead at 4.7 per game.
