STARKVILLE \u2013 Mississippi State women’s basketball will travel to Austin, Texas, for the first time in eight years for a nationally televised matchup against the fourth-ranked Texas Longhorns. Tipoff for the contest is set for 1 p.m. on SEC Network.

\n\tMississippi State dropped their last contest inside of Humphrey Coliseum to the Florida Gators, 71-56.
\n\tFreshman Madison Francis<\/a> scored 20 points in the contest, marking the fourth time she has scored 20 or more points in a game this season.
\n\tFrancis also led the Bulldogs in rebounds (13), blocks (3) and steals (3). She knocked down a team-leading six free throws in the contest.
\n\tFreshman Jaylah Lampley<\/a> recorded a career high 11 rebounds against the Gators.
\n\tThursday’s matchup was only the fifth time that the Bulldogs shot under 40 percent this season.
\n\tSeven different Bulldogs have led the team in scoring this season.
\n\tFrancis has led State in scoring in eight games, the most of any Bulldog.
\n\tThe Bulldogs have had 5 or more players in double figures in eight games this season. 4 or more have scored in double figures in 15 games.
\n\tThree Bulldogs average double figures – Francis (13.3), Nwaedozi (12.4) and McPhaul (10.2).
\n\tFrancis remains the SEC’s block leader as a true freshman at 2.9 blocks per game, a mark which is second in the nation.

\n\tFranics’ 77 blocks are second in the nation and eighth all-time in a single season in program history. She needs five more to tie the freshman record at MSU.
\n\tFavour Nwaedozi<\/a> is one of four players in the SEC to currently average a double-double.
\n\tNwaedozi has gained 12 double-doubles so far this year and is averaging 12.4 points and 10.1 rebounds per game
