Texas A&M<\/a> softball (10\u20135) is grinding through some inconsistencies at the Mary Nutter Classic. The Aggies sit at 3\u20132 in the event, with both losses coming against ranked opponents, but they did respond with an emphatic 11\u20135 win over Duke to snap the skid. Now they have a chance to leave California on a high note if they can knock off No. 11 UCLA (12\u20133) in Sunday\u2019s finale.<\/p>\n The biggest issue for A&M has been cashing in against elite competition. In the losses to Oregon<\/a> and Nebraska, the Aggies went a combined 5-for-30 with runners on base and stranded 19. No matter how early it is in the season, those numbers simply won\u2019t hold up against top\u201125 teams.
