COFFEY COUNTY, Kan. (WIBW) – More charges have been added and adjusted in a case against a Coffey County man accused of child sex crimes. <\/p>\n
According to KVOE, an arraignment hearing in Burlington on Wednesday added four new counts in the case against Roy Anthony Hernandez, 46, of Angleton, Texas. <\/p>\n
Hernandez was arrested and booked into the Coffey County Jail in November of 2025. A Coffey County attorney charged Hernandez with 22 counts of rape, aggravated criminal sodomy and aggravated indecent liberties involving two children between September 2013 and October 2015. <\/p>\n
He was accused of: <\/p>\n
2 counts of rape 1 count of aggravated sodomy 15 counts of indecent liberties against a 9-year-old 3 counts of rape and 1 count of indecent liberties with a 15-year-old <\/p>\n
On Wednesday, new counts rearranged the previous ones. Now, he is charged with: <\/p>\n
5 counts of indecent liberties 8 counts of sodomy 2 counts of rape against a 9-year-old 1 count of rape and 10 counts of indecent liberties with a 15-year-old <\/p>\n
This adjusts to 26 counts total. <\/p>\n
The new complaint also adjusted the timeframe of the alleged abuse from October 2014 to April 2016. <\/p>\n
A hearing is set for May 7. A pretrial is set for June 4 and a jury trial on June 22. <\/p>\n
