Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Coppell<\/a>). They were the clear victors by a 21-4 margin over the Plano Wildcats<\/a> on Thursday. With that victory, the Cowboys brought their scoring average up to 7.4 runs per game.<\/p>\n Coppell got a massive performance out of Madison Scott<\/a>, who fired off two home runs, seven RBI, and one stolen base while going 4-for-4. Those two home runs gave Scott a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Cecilia Bourque<\/a>, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs, two stolen bases, and three doubles.<\/p>\n They weren’t the only ones making solid contact: Coppell kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 23 hits. They are 2-1 when they post 11 or more hits.<\/p>\n Coppell moved to 2-6 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Plano, they have been struggling recently as they’ve lost three of their last four matchups. That’s put a noticeable dent in their 6-3 record this season.<\/p>\n Coppell has already played their next contest, a 13-2 defeat against Van Alstyne on the 19th. As for Plano, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 4-1 loss against Hebron on the 19th.<\/p>\n
