Officials say<\/a> the shooting happened at about 9 p.m. Sunday at a hotel near the Southwest Freeway and the West Loop<\/a>.<\/p>\n Police were said to be responding to a call about a suspect firing a weapon. Officers had an encounter with an armed male, and they shot the suspect.<\/p>\n The suspect’s condition is not known at this time. No officers were injured.<\/p>\n This is a breaking news report.
