Reedy<\/a> proved they can win big on Friday (they won by ten) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Plano West Wolves<\/a>, sneaking past 10-8. Winning may never get old, but the Lions sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.<\/p>\n Malaina Boyst<\/a> looked comfortable as she tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent: she hasn’t given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.<\/p>\n On the hitting side, Elyn Miller<\/a> was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Abby Jackson<\/a> was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.<\/p>\n Reedy hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They are 4-1 when they post two or more strikeouts.<\/p>\n Reedy’s record is now 6-4. As for Plano West, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-5-1.<\/p>\n Reedy has already played their next game, a 7-2 win against John Paul II on the 21st. As for Plano West, they will square off against Plano East at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Panthers have struggled to contain batters this season (they’ve allowed 9.33 runs per game on average), something the Wolves will no doubt try to take advantage of.<\/p>\n
