The March 3 primary election is officially underway, with early voting open to all registered voters in the North Texas area. This year’s primary sees local voters weighing in on numerous important county, state and federal elections.<\/p>\n
Early Voting And Center Locations<\/p>\n
Voters looking to cast their ballots ahead of Election Day can do so during the designated early voting period, which runs from Feb. 17, through Feb. 27, 2026.<\/p>\n
Collin County utilizes voting centers, meaning any registered voter in the county can cast a ballot at any of the 30+ early voting locations<\/a> throughout the area.<\/p>\n Key Contested Local Races<\/p>\n The primary ballot is packed with races, but several key county-level contests have drawn attention.<\/p>\n For the Republican nomination for Collin County Judge, voters must choose between incumbent Chris Hill and challenger Rick Grady. The Democratic primary for the same office is uncontested, with John R. Buster Brown running unopposed.<\/p>\n In the Collin County Commissioner Precinct 4 race, Republicans will decide between Woody Huffines and Shelby Williams.
