{"id":176870,"date":"2026-02-23T19:46:06","date_gmt":"2026-02-23T19:46:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/176870\/"},"modified":"2026-02-23T19:46:06","modified_gmt":"2026-02-23T19:46:06","slug":"fire-damaged-vacant-building-near-boxing-gym","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/176870\/","title":{"rendered":"Fire damaged vacant building near boxing gym"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas \u2014 A late-night commercial fire caused heavy damage to a single-story building on the city\u2019s west side, according to Corpus Christi Fire Department Chief Tony Perez.<\/p>\n<p>Firefighters were called to the 1400 block of South 19th Street just before midnight Saturday, around 11:58 p.m., after reports of a commercial structure fire.
