AUSTIN, Texas \u2014 First Lady Melania Trump has invited 10-year-old Everest Nevraumont of Austin to attend the 2026 State of the Union address in recognition of her work in artificial intelligence. \u00a0<\/p>\n
The Office of the First Lady announced Tuesday that Nevraumont, a student at the Alpha School – which is an AI-focused program in Austin- will join Trump in the First Lady\u2019s Box for the address. She will attend alongside Sierra Burns of Greenville, South Carolina, a participant in Trump\u2019s foster youth to independence program.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Both guests \u201crepresent the spirit\u201d of Trump\u2019s BE BEST initiative, which aims to empower young Americans through technology and education, according to a statement from the First Lady\u2019s office. \u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cSierra and Everest embody my ongoing mission to uplift America\u2019s foster youth and expand opportunities for our next generation through education and technology,\u201d Trump said in the statement. \u201cI am proud to have them join me at this historic event.\u201d \u00a0<\/p>\n
Nevraumont recently gave a TED Talk titled \u201cLearning to Learn\u201d about how she uses AI in education. She’s also a three-time Texas State Champion in history. \u00a0<\/p>\n
