The Republic of Texas declared independence on March 2 and was its own country for approximately 10 years, according to The Alamo\u2019s website. This local historic site is hosting its own annual independence celebration in downtown San Antonio.<\/p>\n
Texas Independence Day Celebration<\/p>\n
The event will feature living history exhibits, presentations, live music and more from the early 1800s.<\/p>\n
Gruene Hall<\/p>\n
Gruene Hall is hosting their annual Independence Day celebration on March 1 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 1281 Gruene Road in New Braunfels.<\/p>\n
Armadillo Races<\/p>\n
Watch these iconic Texas creatures compete in a series of competitive races.<\/p>\n
Live Longhorn Photo Opportunity<\/p>\n
