Mount Gilead Road will be closed between Robin Drive and Bancroft Road and operate as a southbound-only route as new water lines are installed, according to a city news release<\/a>. Replacements should be completed by the end of May, but varied road closures will continue through June while city crews do line testing and pavement repair.<\/p>\n Drivers will take a detour through Bancroft Road, Bourland Road and Mount Gilead Road during the closure, according to the city.<\/p>\n The water line replacements include the installation of new 8- and 12-inch water mains through open trenching, pipe bursting and boring, according to city documents<\/a>.<\/p>\n The background<\/p>\n Keller City Council approved the water line replacements at a city council meeting Oct. 21<\/a>.
