Larry Crowson, a witness reported that the victim was shot by an occupant if a black \u201csmaller vehicle.\u201d It\u2019s unclear whether or not the shooting was a drive-by.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.click2houston.com\/team\/bnewberry\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.click2houston.com\/team\/bnewberry\/\">KPRC 2\u2019s Bryce Newberry<\/a> was at the scene, where the victim\u2019s siblings spoke with members of the media. They identified him as Terribia Dembry.<\/p>\n<p>Image of Terribia Dembry, provided by family (KPRC 2)<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">Dembry\u2019s sisters and other family members arrived at the apartment after learning their loved one had been murdered.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">\u201cFrom what we know, somebody pulled up, five shots, and that was it,\u201d Tesa Dembry, one of the victim\u2019s sisters said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">Loved ones said they believed Terribia \u2014 whose nickname was Ribi \u2014 was visiting a woman who lived at the complex when he was shot. He leaves behind a large family, including children and grandchildren.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">Authorities have not provided descriptions of any suspects or persons of interest at this time, and the circumstances leading up to the shooting remain unclear. They do not know how many people were inside the vehicle of interest.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">The family members are asking anyone who saw something to come forward as they seek justice for Ribi.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">\u201cMy heart aches,\u201d Trazara Barres, the victim\u2019s other sister, said through tears.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to contact HPD or Crime Stoppers of Houston at 713-222-8477 (TIPS).<\/p>\n<p>Copyright 2026 by KPRC Click2Houston &#8211; All rights reserved.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"A 52-year-old man was killed after being shot near an apartment complex in Northwest Houston.
