(February 24, 2026) \u2014 Lubbock Christian University closed out its second event of the spring season Tuesday with an 11th-place finish at the RJGA Stockton Invitational, hosted at The Reserve at Spanos Park, as delayed opening-round play resumed and concluded before the final round was contested later in the day.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nThe Chaparrals posted rounds of 296 and 297 to finish at 593 (+17) in the 21-team field. Colorado State-Pueblo claimed the team title at 569 (-7), followed by Western Washington (576) and Colorado Christian (579).<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nMonday&#8217;s opening round was suspended before completion, forcing a few \u00a0teams to finish the round early Tuesday morning prior to turning around for the final 18 holes. LCU entered the final round in contention for a top-10 finish but slipped one spot in the standings after posting a 297 in the closing round.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nSenior <a href=\"https:\/\/lcuchaps.com\/sports\/mens-golf\/roster\/maximiliano-dufey\/4905\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"4905\" target=\"_blank\">Maximiliano Dufey<\/a> paced the Chaparrals, tying for 16th individually at 143 (-1) after rounds of 71 and 72. Dufey was steady throughout, playing the par-3s at 2.88 (-1) for the event and finishing with 25 pars and six birdies.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nJunior <a href=\"https:\/\/lcuchaps.com\/sports\/mens-golf\/roster\/noel-bondesson\/4912\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"4912\" target=\"_blank\">Noel Bondesson<\/a> continued his consistent spring form, tying for 20th at 145 (+1) with rounds of 74 and 71. Bondesson ranked among the field&#8217;s most productive players on par-5s, averaging 4.63 (-3), and carded eight birdies over 36 holes.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/lcuchaps.com\/sports\/mens-golf\/roster\/hayden-bowman\/4904\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"4904\" target=\"_blank\">Hayden Bowman<\/a> tied for 69th at 153 (+9), while <a href=\"https:\/\/lcuchaps.com\/sports\/mens-golf\/roster\/hudson-reagan\/4906\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"4906\" target=\"_blank\">Hudson Reagan<\/a> also tied for 69th at 153. Freshman <a href=\"https:\/\/lcuchaps.com\/sports\/mens-golf\/roster\/dylan-ford\/4914\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"4914\" target=\"_blank\">Dylan Ford<\/a> rounded out the lineup with a 36-hole total of 157 (+13).<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nStatistically, LCU found its greatest consistency on the greens and around par-3s. The Chaparrals ranked third in the field with 109 pars and fourth in par-3 scoring at 3.18 (+7). LCU&#8217;s 25 total birdies were tied for 16th overall. The team averaged 4.25 (+25) on par-4s and 4.98 (-1) on par-5s.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nThe event marked the Chaparrals&#8217; second tournament of the spring campaign and featured several NCAA Division II West Region programs.
