The shooting happened near the 1400 block of East Rundberg Lane.<\/p>\n

AUSTIN, Texas \u2014 The Austin Police Department (APD) on Wednesday identified the man killed in a shooting last weekend in northeast Austin<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Police said the victim has been identified as 44-year-old Joshua Baker. Responders said the shooting happened around 3 a.m. Saturday near the 1400 block of East Rundberg Lane, close to Dessau Road and just east of Interstate 35. Officers responding to a call from the 9500 Apartments found a male victim, later identified as Baker, near a dumpster with multiple gunshot wounds.<\/p>\n

No arrests have been made at this time in connection to Baker’s death. Detectives believe the shooting was an isolated incident and said there is no ongoing threat to the public.<\/p>\n

Anyone with information is urged to contact the Austin Police Department at 512-974-TIPS. Anonymous tips can also be submitted through the Capital Area Crime Stoppers website here<\/a> or by calling 512-472-8477. A reward of up to $1,000 may be available for information that leads to an arrest.<\/p>\n
