NOLA King, a forthcoming spinoff of the Paramount+ series Tulsa King, is relocating from the Big Easy to the Dallas suburbs, with a new name to boot. <\/p>\n<p>The new show \u2014 which is now titled Frisco King \u2014 will take place primarily in Frisco, Texas, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thewrap.com\/creative-content\/tv-shows\/taylor-sheridan-tulsa-king-spinoff-renamed-frisco-king-paramount\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">according to The Wrap<\/a> entertainment news website. Production of Frisco King is scheduled to start next month in Fort Worth, The Wrap reported. <\/p>\n<p>Ironically, the crime drama will be set in <a href=\"https:\/\/dallas.culturemap.com\/news\/city-life\/mckinney-frisco-safest-suburbs-america\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">one of the country\u2019s safest suburbs<\/a>, which is home to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.friscotexas.gov\/1454\/Demographics\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">nearly 250,000 people<\/a>. Booming Frisco is also home to several major employers, including the Dallas Cowboys, Keurig Dr Pepper, PGA of America, and T-Mobile USA.<\/p>\n<p>Paramount+ <a href=\"https:\/\/www.paramountpressexpress.com\/paramount-plus\/releases\/?view=111613-samuel-l-jackson-to-headline-his-first-tv-series-as-paramount-greenlights-nola-king-the-first-spinoff-of-the-hit-series-tulsa-king\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">announced<\/a> the Tulsa King spinoff last July, with Samuel L. Jackson in the lead role.<\/p>\n<p>The final two episodes of the third season of Tulsa King, which kicked off in September, introduced Jackson\u2019s character, mafia hitman Russell Lee Washington Jr. Jackson will be an executive producer of Frisco King. <\/p>\n<p>By all accounts, Frisco isn\u2019t a hub for mafia figures like Jackson\u2019s character. However, the Civello crime family was active in Dallas in the 1950s and \u201960s.<\/p>\n<p>Prolific writer, director, and producer Taylor Sheridan, who lives on a ranch in Weatherford, will write all eight episodes of the first season of Frisco King. Sheridan, an executive producer for both of the King shows, is the creative force behind a host of other hit streaming series, including Yellowstone, 1883, 1923, Mayor of Kingstown, Lioness, and Landman.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are honored to have Taylor Sheridan write the first season of Frisco King and bring to life Samuel L.
