(KBTX) \u2014 Turnovers plagued the Aggies throughout Wednesday\u2019s 99-84 Texas A&M men\u2019s basketball loss to No. 20 Arkansas at Bud Walton Arena.<\/p>\n
A&M (19-9, 9-6) coughed the ball up 13 times in the first half and twice while the Aggies attempted to mount a comeback in the second half, as part of a total of 16 for the game. The Razorbacks (21-7, 11-4) turned those opportunities into 17 points.<\/p>\n

Why did A&M lose? The Aggies\u2019 turnover struggles dug a 15-point hole in the first half that ultimately proved too deep to climb out of.<\/p>\n
A&M tried to make it a game twice, including closing the first half on a 6-0 run that cut the deficit to under 10 points. In the second half, A&M put together a 12-4 run that helped reduce Arkansas\u2019 margin to as few as four points with 10 minutes to play.<\/p>\n
However, the Razorbacks closed out the game by hitting 13 consecutive shots from the field to regain a commanding lead.<\/p>\n
Who stood out? A&M forward Zach Clemence set a career-high 29 points, surpassing his previous high of 21 points.<\/p>\n
During the Aggies\u2019 second-half rally, he scored eight of A&M\u2019s 12 points. Clemence has posted double-digit points in three of A&M\u2019s last five games.<\/p>\n
Rashaun Agee followed with 17 points and seven rebounds. Guard Marcus Hill posted 10 points.<\/p>\n
Arkansas\u2019 duo of Darius Acuff Jr. and Billy Richmond III combined for 45 of the Razorbacks\u2019 99 points.<\/p>\n
What was a key stat? Arkansas pulled down 13 offensive rebounds that resulted in 18 second-chance points. The Aggies had six offensive rebounds and four second-chance points.<\/p>\n
What does this mean moving forward? A&M entered Wednesday\u2019s game as one of the last four byes in ESPN bracketologist Joe Lunardi\u2019s latest mock bracket. With four games remaining, A&M will need to rack up some wins to keep its bubble from bursting.<\/p>\n
