After winning the 49th season of Survivor in December, Savannah Louie is once again sunning on the beach. But it isn\u2019t a vacation \u2014 the former KENS 5<\/a> personality is returning to Fiji for the all-star 50th season, kicking off Wednesday, February 25.<\/p>\n

Louie didn\u2019t have much time to recover after her $1 million victory lap. According to an Entertainment Weekly interview, she was back on a plane 10 days after arriving home, squeezing in three massages and all the fried food she could eat.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou cannot recover from Survivor in two weeks mentally and emotionally,\u201d she told the magazine. \u201cYou probably need two years to recover from that, but at the same time, that’s kind of to my advantage. I’m already suspicious of the average, everyday person.\u201d<\/p>\n

The 32-year-old California native was once a fixture of Alamo City airwaves, wearing multiple hats as a correspondent, traffic anchor, and occasional morning show co-host. She left San Antonio for St. Louis, Missouri, and later Atlanta, Georgia, but has since left the media business altogether.<\/p>\n

Louie follows in the footsteps of another former KENS 5 personality, Kim Spradlin-Wolfe, who was the sole survivor of the 24th season of the series, adding an extra $100,000 to her haul as the fan favorite. While Spradlin-Wolfe isn\u2019t one of the 24 players this round, Louie will be vying for the \u201clast survivor\u201d title against some of the series\u2019 all-time heavyweights.<\/p>\n

The landmark 50th season of the CBS reality competition pits players from the show\u2019s earlier seasons against castaways from the \u201cnew era,\u201d which shortened gameplay and made participants earn tools like flints that were once provided from the get-go.<\/p>\n

Giants like Cirie Fields, Ozzy Lusth, and Benjamin \u201cCoach\u201d Wade will join recent standouts, including Dee Valladares, Q Burdette, Charlie Davis, and White Lotus creator Mike White. Louie will also face off against another notable Texan, Austinite Colby Donaldson<\/a>.<\/p>\n
