Bexar County, home of San Antonio, must hold off for now on disbursing $566,000 in legal services for individuals facing immigration and deportation proceedings, a Texas appeals court said.<\/p>\n

The flow of funds is frozen pending the outcome of Attorney General Ken Paxton\u2019s (R) challenge<\/a> to a program he says amounts to an unlawful gift to private organizations that use the funds in ways that don\u2019t benefit the public.<\/p>\n
